Are you a fan of Mediterranean cuisine? This type of food includes traditional dishes from a diverse range of countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. European, North African, and Middle Eastern countries surround this body of water. With such a wide range of different countries and cultural traditions, what is Mediterranean food?
Mediterranean Food in a Nutshell
Depending on the country, the individual dishes vary, but this diet is rich in vegetables and fruits and includes grains, nuts, beans, seeds and olive oil. Although this diet includes eggs, dairy, fish, and chicken, the portions are small in comparison to American food proportions. Meat in particular is consumed in small portions and often used sparingly to intensify the flavor of dishes such as beans, pasta, and sauces.
Halal Food
At the Kabab House, not only do we serve Mediterranean style and middle eastern cuisine, but we also serve halal food. Considered permissible by the Qu’ran, a large portion of the Muslim community consumes only halal food. Some of the foods and drinks that are forbidden in the halal diet include alcohol, pork, animals not properly slaughtered, and land-dwelling animals without external ears.
The Kebab House
If you follow a halal diet, you can rest easy eating at the Kebab House. Our halal menu offers a variety of different foods, including sandwiches, pizza, salads, seafood, and of course, kebabs. Located conveniently close to Disney World, Muslim families can easily access halal food while they are on vacation.
