Located conveniently close to Disney World, the Kabab House is the perfect place to take your family for lunch or dinner.

Middle Eastern Countries

The Middle East includes several countries located in both Asia and North Africa. Depending upon which country you are in, the native dishes will vary. Because a significant number of Middle Eastern countries are primarily Muslim, many of their inhabitants follow a halal diet.

What is Halal Food?

The Qu’ran outlines forbidden and permissible food, and the permissible food is known as halal food. Some of the foods and drinks considered haram, or forbidden, are alcohol, pork, animals not properly slaughtered, and land dwelling animals that do not have external ears.

Middle Eastern Spices

Some of the species characteristic of Middle Eastern cuisine include cumin, nutmeg, cardamom, turmeric, sumac, Baharat, caraway, anise, allspice, and cinnamon. These spices add to the richness of flavor characterizing Middle Eastern food.

Ingredients

Lentils, chickpeas, olives, beans, and vegetables are considered staples of this region’s dishes. Middle Eastern meats include beef, lamb, and chicken. Often, these dishes are accompanied by a serving of fresh pita bread, which can be used to wrap food or to pick it up.

Our Middle Eastern Dishes

At the Kebab House, we offer a variety of different Middle Eastern dishes suitable for the entire family. Here are some of our favorites:

Tabouli Salad

Both health and filled with flavor, tabouli salad is absolutely wonderful. To make this dish, we finely chop fresh parsley and mix it with cracked bulgur wheat, diced onions, tomatoes, fresh lemon juice, and olive oil.

Falafel Sandwich

At our kebab restaurant, we make fresh falafels daily. Made out of ground chickpeas mixed with a special blend of spices, our falafels are deep fried to perfection. Served with tangy tahini sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and lettuce, this delightful combination is wrapped in a fresh pita bread.

Hummus

Made out of ground chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, and olive oil, hummus is a staple of Middle Eastern fare. We always serve this delicious appetizer with fresh pita bread for dipping.

Baba Ghanoush

By roasting eggplant and blending it with special spices and tahini, this creamy dip tastes amazing with fresh pita bread. We make our extra tasty using a bit of lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic.

Fattoush Salad

Served on top of fresh toasted pita bread, this salad includes tomatoes, onion, cucumbers, and lettuce. What really enhances the flavor is our blend of fresh parsley and mint combined with feta cheese, olive oil, and fresh lemon juice.

Shish Tawook

Before cooking our cubed chicken, we marinate it in a blend of delicious spices for the right amount of flavor. Once the marinade has done its thing, we load the chicken onto skewers with green peppers and tomatoes. These skewers are charbroiled, with just the right combination of crispiness on the outside to whet your appetite.

Shish Kababs

Of course, our kababs are legendary. Tender cubes of lamb are perfectly seasoned and marinated and placed onto skewers with green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Cooked to perfection, this could easily become your favorite dish ever.

Mazza

This appetizer platter is a great choice as a starter dish for the entire family. Featuring baba ghanoush, hummus, grape leaves, falafel, and tabouli, this platter includes the best of everything.
