Our Favorite Halal Food At The Kabab House

Now that we are in the midst of summertime, the Orlando area is truly bursting at the seams with families from all over the country vacationing at Disney World and Universal Studios. Some of these families might even be dropping by for a day or two before heading to one of Florida’s beautiful beaches. Either way, it’s always harder to eat according to your diet when traveling, and this can be particularly difficult for those following a halal diet. You can rest easy traveling to Orlando, because the Kabab House offers halal cuisine for the entire family and kids eat half off.

What Foods Are Considered Halal?

Halal foods are considered permissible because they follow Islamic law as specified in the Qu’ran. The following foods and drinks are considered “haram,” or “forbidden” in the Qu’ran:

  • Alcohol ( any food cooked with alcohol and any alcoholic beverages)
  • Pork, including pork byproducts, such as lard
  • Land-dwelling animals that do not have any external ears
  • Animals not correctly slaughtered or not slaughtered in the name of Allah
  • All carnivorous animals

Some Of Our Favorite Halal Dishes

Sharma

Our chicken shawarma is marinated in a tangy, savory blend of spices and slow-roasted on a spit. This glorious combination results in the most tender, delicious chicken with a meaty, smoky flavor. Our chicken shawarma sandwich is rolled in a pita bread with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and our special garlic sauce and is served with crispy, salty french fries.

Tabbouleh

A truly refreshing salad, our tabbouleh includes finely chopped fresh parsley, diced tomatoes, onions, cracked bulgur wheat, fresh lemon juice and olive oil. If you’re feeling extra hungry, this could be the perfect addition to your kebab or shawarma meal.

Baba Ghanoush

This popular middle eastern dish is made in a variety of different ways. Our kebab restaurant bakes and purees fresh eggplant with some fresh lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil. Nothing beats our delicious baba ghanoush served on top of our warm, fresh pita bread.

Falafels

If you have indulged in our savory meats a little too much, you might be ready for some lighter but equally as delicious fare. One of our most delicious sandwiches is our falafel sandwich. Falafels are made out of chickpeas ground with herbs, formed into balls, and fried to perfection. Our amazing falafels are crunchy on the outside but fluffy and light on the inside, and they pair perfectly with our tangy tahini sauce, tomatoes, onions and lettuce.

Shish Kebabs

We couldn’t discuss our delicious halal cuisine without mentioning the kebabs that we are so famous for! Our shish kebab entree features marinated cuts of lamb charbroiled on a skewer with green onions, peppers, and tomatoes. When you eat our shish kebabs, you will leave our establishment feeling full and happy.

If you find yourself in Kissimmee or nearby Orlando, stop by the Kabab House, which is sure to become your favorite halal restaurant. Our selection of Mediterranean and middle eastern food includes halal chicken wings, Greek salads, seafood platters, family platters, kebabs, and more.
